Infrared Interruption counter (AT89C2051)

    Infrared interruption counter is a reliable circuit that takes over the task of counting number of interruptions very accurately. When somebody enters into the room, then the Counter is Incremented by one. The total number of Persons inside the Room is displayed on the seven segment displays.
    The microcontroller does the above job it receives the signals from the sensors, and this signals operated under the control of software which is stored in ROM.
    All the above systems are controlled by the Microcontroller. In our project we are using the popular 8 bit microcontroller AT89C2051. It is a 20 pin microcontroller.

    I came to see the Infrared object counter circuit diagram
    I kindly request you to clarify the following

    1. Insted of IR sensor can we provide the inductive switch
    ie., proxmity switch working range of 5 to 30V DC
    I want to make Counter for our carding m/c.

    Yes you can connect the inductive proxmity switch directly to the 7th pin of the microcontroller. but the output voltage should be 5v. if it goes high you should connect some other circuit to reduce the voltage.

    CIrcuit diagram program was published in the Projects page. The algo is same as the visitor counter and you can check it at the topic of that project.

    The transmitter will continously generate 37khz IR signal. The receiver output is low as long as it receive the IR signal. This ouput goes high when it is interrepted. This triggers the MOnostable Multivibrator and it produce a clock pulse to the microcontroller.
    The Microcontroller counts the pulses and display it over the seven segment display.

    sir why do u have given two transmiter ckt?
    Is it neccesary to use two transmiter ckt?
    how can u generate frequency of 37KHz?
