8051 interfacing with SD memory Card

Dear Binu,

While it is very interesting, I would like to know the following.

1. Can we not individually Read or Write SD Card Memory Byte !

2. Say I want to Read or Write a specific memory location, is it possible or
not ?

3. What memory sizes are available in SD Card ?

4. Where can I find all details for interfacing this SD Card !

No you cant read or write single byte. You can only read/write a block which is 500bytes
Use a 512MB card.
