Difference between AT89C51 and AT89S51

The main difference between them lies in the following points:Pin function: Pins almost identical changes were, in the AT89S51 in P1.5, P1.6, P1.7 have a second function, that is, the second 3-pin serial ISP function formed programming interface. Programmability: AT89C51 only supports parallel programming, But AT89S51 supports both parallel programming and ISP programming.Voltage in the programming area, AT89C51 in addition to normal programming voltage of 5V, another 12v is needed for Vpp. But AT89S51 just need to be 4-5V. 8051 single-chip pulse width modulation (PWM) brightness control of LED lights

This program is used to control an LED brightness through PWM. Since the AT89S52 dont have a hardware PWM we are using an software PWM with help of the timer 0. By changing the duty cycle of the PWM signal we can control the brightness of the LED. The brightness is varied from 0-10. Here's the circuit diagram and the C code [More]

Drive recorders capture road accident images

Drive recorders capture images and information from immediately before and after an accident occurs, thus enabling users to understand the circumstances surrounding the accident. Their installation is also expected to have, to a certain degree, an accident-deterring effect. For these reasons, drive recorders are expected to enjoy an expanding market not only for use in trucks, buses, taxis, and other commercial vehicles but also in private vehicles. [More]

Block diagram of a smartphone

Given that today's Smartphone integrates features like personal organizers and email management tools with basic multimedia and handset capabilities, the typical "ON" time is more crucial to the end users than that of an entry level mobile phone. The feature set drives the need for high processing power, larger (brighter) displays, touch screen controls and speaker phone capability. To meet performance and form factor requirements of the phone, careful consideration to the supply current and package sizes is important. Hence, migrating to Class-D audio amplifiers, touch screen controllers with integrated audio, ESD protection, power management and overall power supply efficiency are critical. [More]
